Workshop with the Maestro

Craft your own ring with the expertise of Alessandro Dari in his workshop in the heart of Renaissance Florence.

Join Master Goldsmith Alessandro Dari for a 3-hour hands-on workshop, in which you will explore the lost wax modeling technique and micro-modeling to create your own personalized ring.

The workshop begins with a personal tour of the atelier and museum located in the historic Nasi-Quaratesi nobel home.  Master Alessandro Dari will share with you the themes that inspire much of his art, such as the symbols of the city of Florence, alchemy and Etruscan style jewelry.

You will then be introduced to the traditional materials and tools used in the lost wax method by the artist and get seated at your workstations.  As you work to create your own unique model, Master Dari will offer you personalized tips and feedback to help refine your design.

At the completion of the workshop you will have a deeper understanding of the art of goldsmithing, as well as a wax model of your ring, which can be cast in precious metals and shipped to you afterward for an additional cost.
